Through our strength in precision machining, we offer critical turnkey manufacturing support and tool repair based on our customers’ engineering specifications and requirements. In addition to our core machining capabilities, we also apply sophisticated surface engineering techniques that can increase the wear, impact and corrosion resistance of our customers’ operating assets. Such processes range from traditional hard-facing, high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) and shot-peening, to proprietary technologies like the Armoloy® Thin-Dense Chrome (TDC) coating. Since 2020, OSS is the only licensed applicator for the Armoloy TDC coating in the Asia region.
We manufacture a variety of alloy steel and non-magnetic tools and components used in the Oil & Gas industry. Our core machining capabilities include:
We reface, rechase and recut connections on drillpipes and tubulars. All connections threaded are gauged thereafter to ensure optimal fit and conformance to all requirements and specifications. Besides API connections, we are also licensees for most of the premium connections used in drilling, completion and production operations today…
We frequently repair customers’ tools and components to help reduce their inventory costs by extending the useful lives of these tools and components. Our range of services include:
Working with our engineers from design, formation and setting of parameters, our certified welders are able to fabricate the structures and assets necessary to support our customers’ operations…
We offer a complete range of hardfacing to suit all drilling conditions. Through continuous improvement, pioneering experience and technical know-how, we are the experts on wear resistance, characteristics and matrix hardness that extend beyond traditional tungsten carbides options…
HVOF coating is a thermal spray coating process which is typically used by our customers increase erosion, wear and corrosion resistance on their tools. It can also be used to repair various industrial components such as housings, shafts and impellers…
Shot peening is a cold working process that impacts small spheres called shots onto the material surface to create a small indentation at the surface of the material. This process is commonly used in our industry to delay fatigue cracking and can in turn result in increased resistance to stress corrosion cracking…
Armoloy TDC coating is a low temperature, precision engineered finishing process which produces very thin, precise deposits resulting in a very hard, slippery, and corrosion resistant surface. Besides being used in the Oil & Gas drilling operations, our principals have also been…
We provide rental and traded tools to address our customers’ capital expenditure limitations or to support their dynamic drilling campaigns. This allows our customers to preserve capital, improve efficiencies and reduce equipment expenditure…
We are constantly exploring collaborative opportunities where we can leverage our breadth and depth of machining workshop experience and expertise to expand our footprint to support Oil & Gas operations worldwide…
